Hannah Mercer
Clinic Director
Runs the clinic, the diary and the coffee rota. Spent ten years leading patient services in Manchester before opening Alder Finch, and is the reason appointments here start on time.
We opened on Beech Road in 2016 with two treatment rooms and a firm belief that physio should be thorough, honest and a lot less mysterious. The rooms have multiplied since. The belief hasn't changed.

I don't treat patients myself. My job is to make sure everything around the treatment works brilliantly: appointments that start on time, prices you can see before you book, and a team with the time and training to do their best work.
I started Alder Finch after watching too many friends bounce between quick-fix appointments with no real plan. So we do it differently. Longer first appointments, clear explanations, and an honest conversation about when you no longer need us.
If anything about your visit falls short, I'd genuinely like to hear about it. Email us at the address on our booking page and mark it for my attention. I read every one.

Plus our massage therapists, and a front-desk team who will probably remember your dog's name.

First appointments are 45 minutes and follow-ups are 30. Nobody gets a ten-minute once-over.
We explain what's going on without the jargon, and check it actually makes sense to you.
The goal is getting you independent, not keeping you coming back forever.
Every physio is HCPC registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
